A few years back, we changed our prefabricated cabin production over to cycled continuous flow production along the lines of lean construction. Today, cabin production is therefore faster, more uniform, less costly and of better quality than conventional prefabricated cabin production at a fixed site.
The cabins are made on a conveyor belt measuring 96 metres in length and 10 metres in width, running at a speed of 3.5 mm/s. The cycle consists of 22 precisely defined stages stipulating when which part has to be fitted. In this way, a fully equipped cabin leaves the conveyor belt every 15 minutes.
